First Deputy General Director of Sibirtelcom OJSC Aleksander Sheifer was elected the President of Association of Graduates of Novosibirsk Electrotechnical Institute of Communications-Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (SSUTI).

Sibirtelecom OJSC closely cooperates with Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Informatics. Within the scope of cooperation the Company contributes to increasing the education quality and participates in scientific and innovation activity in the area of info-communication technologies.  SSUTI is a source of manpower for Sibirtelecom. Many managers and specialists of the Company received professional education in this University. Aleksander Sheifer himself graduated from the Department of Engineering and Economics of SSUTI in 1979.

“SSUTI has always been and remains a uniting center for Siberian operators regardless of who and when received education here,” said Aleksander Sheifer, First Deputy General Director of Sibirtelcom OJSC.  “This University is in good standing as a major educational center that has prepared tens of thousands of qualified personnel for Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern regions.  I am glad that today SSUTI is dynamically developing, actively implementing advanced innovation technologies, and constantly expands connection with the production. I wish exactly our University to be an intellectual area for training professionals who will implement big telecommunication projects of federal significance. The Association of Graduates has operated for several years, and I think that there are few universities that keep a kind tradition and ability to unite its graduates. And we do it.”

The Association of SSUTI Graduates Regional Public Organization was established in March of 2005. The Association’s goals are to assist the development of the University, to encourage the spirit and existing traditions, to organize business communication among graduates of different generations. The  previous president of the Association of SSUTI Graduates was Vasily Pashkovsky, Director of Siberian Communication Museum.
