Baikalwestcom CJSC, a subsidiary mobile operator 100%-held by Sibirtelecom, is putting into operation mobile base stations (MBS) - new equipment that makes it possible to provide stable coverage on territories with weak or absent signal and in places with some concourse.

Baikalwestcom, a mobile operator 100%-held by Sibirtelecom OJSC, exceeded the level of 50 thousand users of the IMT-MC-450 standard (WELLCOM trademark).

"Sibirtelecom" OJSC summed up the results of the action "Download gigabytes and get prizes" which was held in Tomsk region from November 1 through December 31, 2007 among individuals — Webstream subscribers, who downloaded in those two months more than 1Gb of external incoming traffic.
